The Converse shoe company is facing a backlash for partnering with an 11-year-old drag queen, reports the Gateway Pundit.

In a tweet, Converse said it is “partnering with 6 individuals connected to the LGBTQ+ community who show the power of expressing one’s true self.”

One of the six is Desmond Napoles, whom the Converse website describes him as a “drag kid/LGBTQ+ advocate.”

Many Twitter users said they will no longer purchase Converse shoes.

One wrote, “Never never never ever going to buy #converse No thanks!”

In November 2018, Desmond appeared on the ABC show “Good Morning America” in a wig, high heels, dress and makeup, drawing cheers from the audience.

He was also filmed dancing at a gay night club called “3 Dollar Bill,” where patrons threw dollar bills at him.

On Sunday, cookie brand Chips Ahoy! promoted “drag moms” and drag queens in a Mother’s Day advertisement.

A drag queen named “Vanessa Vanjie Mateo” called for everybody to thank their mothers and “Get These Cookies.”
